Choose a connection method
The custom integration chooser offers the methods enabled in your workspace. A remote MCP server exposes tools through its own endpoint. An API connection describes an HTTP service and the authentication it requires.
Verify the service
Use an endpoint you trust and control, or one whose operator your team has approved. Review the tools it exposes and the data it can receive. A custom tool's description is supplied by its operator; it is not a workspace permission grant.
Store credentials through the form
Enter credentials only in the connection's secure settings. Keep secrets out of tool descriptions and example requests. If authorization requires a provider flow, complete it with the correct account.
Test a small operation
Begin with a read-only tool and a known input. Review the response and its error handling. Grant write access only after the team understands the operation and its review requirements.
Open the relevant screen
Use Custom integrations in the active workspace. Sign in if needed. Check the workspace name before changing shared settings, connections, or billing.
If a control is unavailable, ask the workspace administrator or contact support. Include the screen, the action you tried, and the approximate time. Keep credentials and private customer material out of the request.
